What is VACUUM THERMOFORMING:

  • a sheet of plastic is heated to a forming temperature,

  • stretched onto a single-surface mold, and

  • forced against the mold by a vacuum (suction of air).

 

Why VACUUM THERMOFORMING:

  • is a cost effective option in a wide range of applications for both prototype and short run production parts. 

  • The vacuum forming process can be used to make a wide variety of products, such as, motorcycle windshields, packaging, and enclosures. 

 

Our VACUUM THERMOFORMING machine uses:

  • Thermoplastic sheets up to 48″ x 72″ and up to 1/4″ thick 

  • Tooling area is 43″ x 67″ with a 20″ draw.

 

Molds for VACUUM THERMOFORMING can be:

  • 3D printed for fast part production or

  • machined out of tooling board or aluminum for higher quantities.
